I have an immediate need for an in-home bilingual elementary Mandarin tutor in West Harrison not far from Delfino Park; by the corner of Lincoln Ave and Hancock St. The families of the two students are asking for a tutor who is bilingual in English and Mandarin. They would prefer a tutor who has experience working with younger children. The students are two girls in 1st and 2nd grade attending Hawthorne Elementary School. The families want them to work with a tutor for Mandarin.
The two girls are in 1st and 2nd grade at Hawthorne Elementary. They have been working on Mandarin but both of them are really struggling with the language. The families want them to work with a tutor to improve their language skills.
The goal for both girls is for them to become fluent in Mandarin.
The family wants 1 hour sessions once a week, between 4pm-7pm, any day Monday through Friday. If possible they would prefer to meet on Thursdays.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work in-person, face to face at the students' home in West Harrison not far from Delfino Park; by the corner of Lincoln Ave and Hancock St.
- Tutor must be fluent in both Mandarin Chinese & English.
- Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions once a week, between 4pm-7pm, any day Monday through Friday.
- Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
