About the role :

We are searching for a Director of Client Services to lead our account team and enhance client experience and value across the agency. This role will focus on delivering successful client experiences and financial outcomes by leading our account team and influencing cross-functional agency teams.

Responsibilities include :

  • Lead and manage a senior-level account management team, coaching and developing them to ensure high performance.
  • Direct involvement with clients, managing some directly while ensuring effective engagement across all clients via assigned client teams :

Leading their thinking and adding value consistently to client engagements.

  • Understanding their business and guiding them strategically.
  • Building trust at executive levels and with key stakeholders.
  • Ongoing client coaching, mentoring, and relationship building.
  • Resolving issues as they arise across clients.
  • Overall ownership of financial outcomes of clients, including :
  • Reliable projections of client revenue.

  • Driving organic growth based on agency goals.
  • Structuring and pricing of SOWs and contracts.
  • Ensuring profitability for clients and the account team.
  • Implementing annual client surveys, analyzing results, and addressing opportunities / issues.
  • Developing new business for the agency, including leading responses to RFPs and pitches when needed.
  • Onboarding clients and establishing internal teams / structure.
  • Partnering with and influencing other functional department leads to drive cross-functional performance and develop efficient processes.
  • Being a leading voice within the agency to inspire teams, drive change, and celebrate success.
  • Maintaining an enthusiastic, inclusive, and positive work environment.
  • Qualifications :

  • 12-15 years of agency account management experience, including 5 years leading an account management team.
  • Demonstrated positive financial outcomes for client accounts under your leadership.
  • Marketing strategist with the ability to identify business opportunities.
  • Experience in an integrated agency / in-house environment.
  • Passion for and meaningful knowledge of brand strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Agility to identify priorities and guide team members.
  • Ability to take action and achieve results.
  • Understanding of agency dynamics and building trusting relationships.
  • Other Position Details :

  • Flexible schedule including occasional availability outside of normal working hours.
  • Hybrid work environment with 2 days of onsite work per week expected.
  • Travel for this role is expected to be around 2-4 weeks total per year.
