What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Mechanic position at Grady Health?
SUMMARY
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all vehicles in accordance with the Grady Health System Policies & Procedures and the EMS operations manual to ensure the readiness of all assigned emergency and non-emergency vehicles through the application of industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required and experience to job field is required
- Two (2) years of heavy/medium vehicle mechanic experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automobiles, vans, SUVs, and trucks.
EVT certification required within 12 months of hire date however, all vehicle certifications are a plus. All current employees must maintain EVT certification throughout employment.
- Two (2) years of Light /Medium vehicle mechanic experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining all major models and brands.
Valid Driver's License is with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record is required. Must maintain acceptable MVR per department policy throughout employment.
