What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Property Manager/ Compliance position at Grady Management Inc?
Grady Management, Inc., a leader in the property management arena in Maryland and Virginia, has an opportunity for an experienced Regional Manager with a focus on Compliance.
The Regional Manager, is responsible for identifying, providing and maintaining comprehensive resources, documents & information, company policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all governing programs, including, but not limited to HUD affordable housing program regulations, Section 42 Tax-Credit affordable housing programs, & Bond programs,
Requirements:
- Experience with affordable housing programs including Low Income House Tax Credits
- Monitoring and implementing changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and requirements
- Proper maintenance of tenant files and computer/electronic records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations by working closely with Compliance Manager(s)
- Determining financial eligibility for all new admissions into the affordable program
- Processing new applicants
- Assist and review all 8823’s corrections and correspondence
- Monitoring of re-certification notification letters in compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations
- Perform training programs to educate and inform the site teams of requirements and responsibilities
- Remain familiar with HUD’s changing Federal Regulations as they relate to Affordable Housing programs
- Travel Required within Virginia and Maryland
- Working knowledge of waiting list, income allowances and rent calculations process, lease renewal utility allowances, and fraud and termination of tenancy rules
- Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) and/or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) a must
- Computer literacy and working knowledge of fair housing regulations required
- Onesite/RealPage software knowledge a plus
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining information regarding financial and compliance reporting guidelines received from HOC, local entities, financial institutions and ownership as it pertains to financial systems
- Maintain up-to-date information on annual adjustment factors, fmr’s, income limits, rents and rent schedules
- Ensure timely annual recertification notices are sent by communities.
- Ensure interviews are conducted for annual recertification prior to the anniversary of each household move-in
- Oversee the preparation of all proper documentation for move-in approval via the compliance department. Oversee and conduct file audits twice per year for each community. Follow up with
- Follow up on all issues from unit inspections and track through completion
- Collect annual utility invoices to document chance in allowances
- Supervise and direct two Compliance Managers; potential direct supervision of up to 3 LIHTC communities
- Perform other duties as assigned
