Position Summary
The Coil Tubing Lead Operator is responsible for assembling, maintaining, running, and troubleshooting coil tubing equipment; assisting in the operations of the coil tubing division; training less experienced employees; and ensuring quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
Essential Job Functions
- Safely operate fluid pump and nitrogen equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for coil tubing equipment.
- Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service.
- Complete required operations reports and communications.
- Monitor well control parameters and calculations before and during job applications.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness by complying with all applicable safety procedures and regulations.
- Promote the quality improvement process in the coil tubing division.
- Train less experienced employees on company coil tubing operations and safety procedures.
- Resolve intermediate level problems and issues with roustabouts.
- Collaborate with other operations employees to ensure all operations activities are performed as effectively as possible.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of industry-related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in extreme weather and physical conditions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of all tools and equipment utilized by the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- OSHA 10-Hour Part 1910 and 1926
- OSHA 30-Hour Part 1910 and 1926
- HAZWOPER 40HR certification
