Responsibilities:
Grady-White's Prototype Technician works with a team of product specialists that assist in the construction, testing and evaluation of new models. Reviews and troubleshoots existing product systems and parts and implements improvements. Provides assistance to engineers with the development of new designs, product specifications and bill of materials. Works with vendors on the implementation of new parts and accessories. Provides training, technical assistance and troubleshooting support to production personnel as needed.
This is a hands-on job with physical requirements including climbing ladders, working in tight spaces and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
The candidate should have a strong technical aptitude, a fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and experience with hand and power tools. Good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) are necessary.
Skills that are beneficial but not required include experience working with fiberglass, boat operation, and proficiency in CAD.
