We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical area, including sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records using Eaglesoft or similar software.
- Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as needed.
- Conduct medical imaging as required to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry, enhancing efficiency during procedures.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and ensure they understand their treatment plans.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols is essential.
- Knowledge of prosthodontics is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience with medical documentation and record management is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
