What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Graff: Foot, Ankle & Wound Care?
Currently seeking Medical Billing Specialists/Front Desk for our growing Podiatry practice. Must understand medical insurance, how to read EOBs and file appeals. Someone who is friendly and on time is key. **This is NOT a remote position** All training is done in Plano, then placed according to need.
9 locations: Plano, Frisco, Coppell, Dallas, Allen, Prosper, Irving, Garland, Mobile...may work from one of these locations based on availability.
We do require all of our billing team to know the entire front end process, you are needed as back up occasionally and need to be able to know their job in order to help them perfect it from a billing standpoint.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in medical billing icd-10 system
- Minimum 2 years experience working rejections
- Verifying rejections and resubmitting
- Find denial trends and solutions
- Ability to process 100 claim daily
- Familiar with appeals
- Cross trained on verifying patient insurance information prior to appointments
- Collecting copay, coinsurance, deductible and account balances.
- Application of patient payments to patient account.
- Scanning all patient paperwork in their chart
- Adding charges to a claim and sending the claim out.
- Answering multiline phones.
- Assisting with referrals
- You will be cross trained in checking the patients in and out each day at any one of our offices.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule: 8 hour shifts, M-F with varying hours of 6:45am-5:30pm, one Saturday a month (usually per quarter)
Pay is determined and based off of experience.
