What are the responsibilities and job description for the Display Builder position at GRAFF?
GRAFF USA, a division of Meridian International Group, has an opening for an addition to staff for our growing team. This position is located on the south side of Milwaukee. We are a manufacturer and distributor of luxury European kitchen and bath faucets located on the south side of Milwaukee, with a full time, first shift opening for a Display Builder. This role will assist the Display Coordinator and other Display Builders with building and construction, setup, and shipment of accurately assembled displays promoting our luxury brand for retailers as well as trade shows. These are customized, professional displays that showcase and promote our products and maintain an image of luxury. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual with a customer service focus.
The Display Builder reports to the Display Coordinator and is a hands-on role in which no prior display assembly experience is required. If you have a mechanical aptitude,home improvement repair experience, good customer service skills and a positive attitude, we can train you!
Responsibilities:
- Building, assembly, and setup of displays for all trade shows and retailers utilizing power tools and mechanical skills.
- Mounting faucets to acrylic bases and showers to display boards.
- Preparing orders for shipment. Shipment preparation duties including: cleaning, inspection, packing of product and displays, and palletizing.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the shop area.
- Inventory control, check in product as it is received to verify accuracy, maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies as needed.
- Perform duties in warehouse area or other departments as needed, based upon workflow and volume in primary department.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities and Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use power tools (including drill press, table saw, screw/drill guns, router, air nailer, etc.) and power tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, soldering iron, spanner wrench, etc.).
- Basic carpentry skills a plus.
- Accuracy in paperwork and conscientiousness, as it pertains to display setup and following of instructions on work orders.
- A customer service mindset and focus
- Detail orientation and strong mathematical skills
- Good computer skills a plus
- Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted, and more, with assistance.
- The ability to work at least 8 hours per day standing.
- Team player, positive attitude and ability to work well with coworkers.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent and past experience working in skilled trades, manufacturing, or distribution setting.
