Graffen is a family run Managed IT Provider in Conshohocken, PA. We're looking for Senior Engineer candidates to help support our clients. Our culture drives close and personal support and we're looking for additional teammates to support our Philadelphia based clients.
Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced System Administrator to join our growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain our client infrastructure, providing comprehensive IT support to ensure optimal system performance. As part of our MSP team, you will collaborate with clients, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and Server Administration: Manage and monitor client servers, network devices, and cloud-based infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Client Support & Troubleshooting: Provide remote and on-site support for client systems, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Oversee and manage backup systems, ensuring reliable backup and disaster recovery solutions for clients.
- System Maintenance & Updates: Ensure timely patch management, updates, and configuration of client systems to keep them secure and compliant with industry standards.
- Security Management: Implement and manage firewall, antivirus, and other security tools to protect client networks and data from unauthorized access or cyber threats.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and client-specific requirements. Provide regular status updates and reports to clients and senior management.
- Client Consultation & Recommendations: Act as a trusted advisor, recommending technology improvements and upgrades to meet business needs and optimize client environments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in system administration within an MSP or enterprise IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) and network troubleshooting.
- Proficient in using remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
- Solid understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Experience in security management, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and encryption tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent are highly desirable.
