What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Supervisor position at Graft Oil?
Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and abilities.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.
· Regularly visit all stores in the respective area of supervision to ensure that all company standards are being maintained.
· Maintain an open line of communication with the Director of Retail Operations regarding any situation and circumstance at store level that could adversely affect the efficient operation of a retail location.
· Ensure execution and compliance with all directives initiated by the corporate Office. This encompasses Operational, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, and Maintenance directives.
· Be a professional liaison between the field and the Corporate Office. Keep open lines of communication flowing between all Departments, so that all issues, both critical and non-critical, are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
· Plan and implement strategies for improving sales, profitability, and cost management.
· Train, coach, and supervise assignments and performance of Store Management personnel.
· Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and retention of store personnel.
· Be able to handle store needs and emergencies on a 24-hour / 7-day basis.
· Perform cash audits on a regular basis, or on a as needed basis, to ensure the integrity of cash handling by Store Management.
· Perform monthly interior and exterior Store Inspections to ensure that company standards of appearance and operation are being maintained.
· Perform bi-monthly night or evening visits of the retail locations in the respective area of supervision.
· Assisting Store Management with employee discipline and dismissals when needed.
· Represent employer, as needed, regarding any Unemployment Compensation proceedings.
· Present a clean and professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.
· Maintain a professional demeanor and level of conduct when dealing with subordinates, vendors, co-workers, and customers.
· Ensure the correct and timely execution of all directives from the Corporate Office, including but not limited to retail price changes, fuel price changes, and survey requests/requirements.
· Analyze and respond to results and trends in relation to sales, audit reconciliation, cash control, labor expense, and gross margin.
· Adherent to all company policies and guidelines regarding Safety and Loss Prevention.
· Assist in creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for both customers and co-workers.
· Ability to learn and utilize all store computer applications.
· Resolve all customer complaints or concerns in a courteous and professional manner. .
· Be aware of and enforce all local, state, and federal laws and guidelines regarding sales of lottery, tobacco/tobacco related products, and alcohol.
· Be available to cover shifts related to staff shortages, call-offs, or staff terminations. This will include management of a retail location if circumstances dictate.
· Function as a positive role model for all store personnel. Set standards high for all reportables.
· Assist and handle circumstances and calls should your Co-District Supervisor be unavailable.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
Retail, restaurant, or convenience store background.
Strong organizational and problem-solving ability.
Ability to deal with all challenging situations.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks as needed.
Effective written and oral commination skills.
Ability to learn and utilize all equipment specifically related to store operations.
Additional Notes
Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and random drug testing.
Must be able to honor all scheduling specifications.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
