What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Guidance/Counseling Department position at Grafton High School?
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicates with staff, students and families
- Maintains office and student records: including transcript requests and education verifications, MCAS reports, RMV paperwork; runs weekly attendance reports, storing of standardized test scores; records transfer student historical grades
- Experience with Power School, Naviance, Schoology; NCAA
- Assist with grade storing and reporting as well as uploading of standardized test scores
- Responsible for new student registration and management of student withdrawals
- Coordinates School & Community Scholarship process with students, school personnel and community members
- Assist in the college preparation efforts of the department in the areas of mini-fairs, parents nights, FAFSA night
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance and flexibility while working cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers and students
- Assist and answer questions for secretaries from various offices and schools
- Assist with the coordination of PSAT, SAT and AP exam registrations and QCC early college high school courses along with collection of payments
- Creation of Counseling Department newsletter and bulletin board displays; maintains counseling department webpage on GHS website.
- Performs such other tasks as assigned by Director of Counseling
Terms of Employment: This position is two hundred thirteen days (183 school days plus 30 additional days outside of the school year), seven and one-half hours (7.5) each day (7:00am-2:30pm), this includes a half hour unpaid lunch. The successful candidate will receive four (4) personal days for each full year worked and will accrue 1.25 sick days per month. Hourly rate will be determined based on prior experience.
