We are seeking Dormitory Staff to join the Grafton Job Corps team!
In Job Corps, we assist students ages 16-24 with receiving the Academic and Career Training they need for a successful career. This role is critical to making sure our students get the support they need when they are not in class.

Pay is $18.28 per hour
Current Available Schedule:
3:00pm-12:00am 5 days a week including at least 1 weekend day
8:00am-5:00pm Saturday & Sunday, 3:00pm-12:00am Monday, 11:30pm-8:30am Tuesday & Wednesday
Position Summary:
Responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean, and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement, and success. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing proper guidance to students while maintaining a positive dormitory living environment.
- Direct dorm activities/groups and assist in recreational activities on and off Center. Dorm activities can include: peer court, major clean-up, required dorm meetings, etc.
- Maintain dormitory and individual student files physically and electronically. Ensure files are complete, accurate, and updated regularly.
- Foster positive peer relationships along with leadership role modeling techniques.
- Inspire students to accomplish their educational and training goals on campus.
- Transport students to and from recreational activities, off Center jobs, airport, bus stations, or other locations if necessary.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a living/learning environment.
- Assist in student retention by providing an interactive, comfortable living environment that is conducive to students achieving their goals while in the Job Corps program.
- Provide proactive conflict resolution. Counsel students in areas of behavior, training, person hygiene, and study habits.
- Communicate regularly with other dorm members, counselors, and instructors on student concerns that could affect their performance throughout the day.
- Conduct accountability for minor students with an hourly rollcall during shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year working with youths.
- A valid in-State Drivers’ License preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Accommodations are available for those in need.
