What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV Coordinator/Computer Technician position at Grafton Public Schools?
The AV Coordinator/Computer technician works collaboratively with other members of the technology department to support the overall operation and instructional goals of the Grafton Public Schools, with a primary focus on AV technologies and desktop computer deployment/maintenance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audio/visual - Coordinates and maintains operation of ALL AV-related exhibits, equipment (including projectors and flat panels), and services for visitors, guests, and staff and instructs staff in the operation of AV equipment and associated applications.
Desktop Computers - Setups, deploys, manages and maintains approximately 500 desktop computers utilized in our computer labs and by faculty and staff in classrooms and offices.
General Networking - Working in conjunction with network engineer and other technology support staff, maintains and manages network infrastructure including servers, switches, cabling.
Support Tickets - Monitors the district technology support ticketing system, self-assigning trouble tickets in the primary areas of focus.
Cross-Functional Support - Works collaboratively with other department members supporting faculty and staff with various applications (i.e. Google Apps, PowerSchool, Schoology, BoardMaker SeeSaw, MySchoolBucks, etc.) and supporting a variety of devices (i.e. desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, copiers, phones, projectors, displays, etc.) as needed.
Other - Participates in special projects that fall within the scope of technology services as assigned.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities required or as assigned by the Director of Technology.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Director of Technology.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months
Salary : $22 - $26
