A day in the life of a project engineer at Graham: This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. They assist through the all life-cycles of a project by supporting and learning from project managers. They work on multiple different construction projects at a time.
REPORTS TO: Project Manager II
PURPOSE: The purpose of this job project is to learn the fundamentals of staff and resource management and assist the project team to ensure quality work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist the project leader and superintendent project budgeting, bidding, buyouts, and certifications of occupancies, and project accounting
- Manage submittals, RFIS, closeouts, as-builts, and shop drawings
- Ensure equipment and material arrive at the jobsite per schedule
- Complete procurement log and submittals in a timely manner
- Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
- Follow Graham Core Process, including jobsite checklists
- Maintain great relationships with owners/clients, architects, trade partners, and other industry representatives
- All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management/related degree (preferred), associate’s degree in construction management or equivalent field experience
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass physical capacity profile
- Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to work within Graham Construction’s operational regions, as assigned
- Ability to take and pass OSHA 30 certification
