What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Yard Attendant -2nd shift position at Graham Corporation?
This position works 4 10 hour days Monday- Thursday
Job Duties:
- Successfully operate electric and gas powered forklifts in a safe efficient manner.
- Maintain outside yard areas and warehouse by cleaning where needed.
- Maintain efficiencies throughout all scrap areas of the campus.
- Unload incoming parts and sign freight bills, checking shipments for damage goods due to poor shipping practice.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or his/her designate.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be certified as a forklift operator.
- Must have the ability to identify various materials and determine wall thickness, bores, etc.
- Will be required to pass an eye examination including color blindness.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Familiarization with purchase orders, packing lists, and freight bills.
Working Conditions:
- May be required to move items up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 10 feet. May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes or dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. Must wear appropriate protective gear and clothing as necessary.
