Nature of Work
Graham County Schools is seeking a motivated and dependable Summer Operations Assistant to support EC school staff with clerical tasks and light facilities work during the summer months. This temporary position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing a variety of tasks in an educational environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with filing, organizing, and archiving school records and documents.
- Supports staff with classroom setup, including moving furniture, supplies, and equipment.
- Helps prepare instructional spaces for the upcoming school year.
- Performs basic office duties such as making copies, labeling materials, and organizing resources.
- Assists with inventory of classroom or office supplies.
- Supports minor clean-up and organization tasks in classrooms and storage areas.
- Completes other duties as assigned to support school operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
- Hard work ethic and ability to multitask in a dynamic educational environment.
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Education and Experience
Requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move classroom furniture and supplies (up to 40 lbs.)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Prior experience in a school or office setting is a plus, but not required.
Salary
$15.00 per hour
