Clinical Lab Assistant
Location: Graham Hospital Department: Laboratory Type: Full-Time Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 80-FT; 1st Shift; 8:00am-4:30pm; M-F

Performs various tasks pertaining to pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes. Under the supervision of a MT or MLT the Clinical Laboratory Assistant ensures that accurate results are reported in a timely manner to aid the Laboratory Technicians in the prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of patients. Position is also responsible to ensure all supplies are unpacked and properly put away. Takes daily temperatures for all required equipment and reports any temperature issues for correction. This position takes direction from the MT/MLT staff and reports directly to the Laboratory Administrative Director.
High School Diploma Required, Bachelor's or Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science preferred.
At least 3 months experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Solid research and analytical skills to assist in making effective decisions.
Strong organizational and communications skills both in oral and written format.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.
Applies basic computer knowledge: Uses word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail application, and web browser.
Comfortable learning new applications.
