The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) works in an active practice in our Knox & Fulton County Wound Clinic in Galesburg, IL to deliver specialty health care services to patients with chronic wounds. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, we work to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit.
Graduate of an accredited Master’s Degree program for Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
Board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Current licensure to practice as an APRN or PA in the State of Illinois
Current licensure to prescribe controlled substances in the State of Illinois, if appropriate for scope of services provided
Current life support certification (BLS or ACLS)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a mid-level provider, surgical/procedural/wound care experience preferred
Advance Practice Provider positions range between $50 per hour to $90 per hour. All wages are determined by experience and skills; wage information will be discussed further upon interview selection.
