Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Application Analyst is a member of the Information Services team specializing in the installation and support of Laboratory Department clinical applications. The LIS Application Analyst serves as a liaison between IT and the laboratory and works in coordination with Laboratory Leadership & its Subject Matter Experts. Assists in evaluating, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and support for applications used in laboratory operations, in particular the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) software and related applications. Coordinates and support EHR integration projects, identifies process inefficiencies & researches solutions, recommends and plans software and systems solutions to meet all laboratory requirements. This position works both with groups and independently, must lead projects for departmental optimization and be a critical thinker. The position reports directly to the Laboratory leadership with oversight from the Information Technology leaders.
Previous project management, process improvement / optimization skills preferred.
Degree or Certification in Lab Service Technologies or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) desirable.
