Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Mold Maintenance Technician based in Tolleson, AZ. This opening is for 1st shift, which operates during the hours of 6a-2p. This position will rebuild molds for high speed machines.
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installation and repair of equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building.

- Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot injection molding molds with up to 128 cavities, ensuring optimal performance and quality
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on molds, identifying wear and tear, and replacing parts as needed to ensure longevity and minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mold performance, such as flash, short shots, or poor surface finishes
- Maintain a detailed log of mold maintenance, repairs, and part production to track mold performance over time.
- Ensure all mold components are cleaned, properly stored, and organized to avoid damage and maintain operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and repair mold components, including but not limited to ejector systems, cooling systems, and hot runner systems
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Operate injection molding machines, adjusting parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times to optimize mold performance and part quality.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, mold assembly prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform simple machinist skills.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery
- Limited travel may be required
- Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience is preferred.
