Job Overview
Graham Packaging Company is seeking a skilled Production Specialist to join our team in Altavista, VA. This role will be working on the night shift, with varying schedules that include 4 days one week and 3 days the next.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the production area is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
- Pack bottles according to customer specifications, while visually inspecting finished products for defects.
- Operate machinery safely, including case making equipment, trimmers, and glue tanks, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and maintain smooth production operations.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy and basic typing skills are essential.
