Operator / Digger Derrick

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. This role involves operating various types of machinery to ensure efficient and safe completion of projects. The Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, backhoes, and bulldozers on construction sites.
• Perform horizontal drilling tasks as required for specific projects.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to dig, move, and transport poles as needed for project completion.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document daily activities and report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.

Experience

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dump trucks, backhoes, and bulldozers.
• Familiarity with handling utility poles setting or removal is preferred.
• Valid commercial driving license is a must.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• No weekends
