Job Overview :
Graham Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure. This role will focus on cloud infrastructure automation, CI / CD pipeline development, and security-first system architecture. The position requires deep expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and DevOps best practices.to support a classified government customer in Springfield, VA, with occasional support from the prime contractor's office in Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities :
- Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment :
Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Build highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud solutions across multiple environments.Optimize cloud infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines for microservices architectures.DevOps & Security :Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).Ensure compliance with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD 8140).Manage IAM policies, security groups, and network security best practices.Automate security scanning and compliance monitoring (SonarQube, Snyk, etc.).Full-Stack Development & Support :Contribute to full-stack development efforts in TypeScript, Python, or other OOP languages.
Provide on-call support for production systems and participate in disaster recovery planning.Mentor and guide team members on DevOps, cloud security, and automation best practices.Qualifications : Required :
Clearance : Must possess an active TS / SCI w / CI Poly Clearance (Must be already cleared with Springfield, VA customer).Experience :
5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong DevOps focus.5 years of Bash / Python scripting for automation and cloud deployments.5 years of hands-on experience with CI / CD tools and automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).5 years of experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns.3 years of experience in cloud-native AWS services (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker, RDS, DynamoDB).3 years of experience with IAM policies, security groups, and network security.3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).3 years of experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and orchestration.3 years of experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation.3 years of experience implementing security controls & compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).3 years of experience with secrets management and security automation.3 years of experience with DevSecOps best practices (SonarQube, Snyk, etc.)Preferred :
Disaster Recovery & System Resilience : 3 years of experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.Software Development : 2 years of experience in TypeScript, Python (or other OOP languages) for full-stack applications.Security & Compliance Automation : Experience with container security, runtime protection, and continuous monitoring.Database Administration & Optimization : Experience managing RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.Serverless & API Development : Expertise in AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architectures.Full-Stack Web Development : Background in React, Node.js for web application development.Leadership & System Design : Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale, high-security environments.Scalability & Reliability Engineering : System design expertise focusing on scalability, availability, and fault tolerance.Compensation :
