Description
Position Summary : Responsible for providing technical support to customers for all Graham product lines. Working independently in a fast paced environment, the Service Engineer works with customers to troubleshoot equipment performance, provides technical data on existing equipment, prepares quotations for spares parts, makes service visits to customer sites, and collaborates with other departments as needed to achieve objectives. This position will be based in Houston, TX and will require a training period in our Batavia, NY plant of approximately 6 months.

Key Results Areas by level of work :
Level II : Service - Coordinating 'production" with problem solving and prevention
1. Resource management (material and people)
a. Prepare quotations for spare and replacement parts.
b. Use software to model equipment performance.
2. Resource scheduling, output management and reporting
a. Respond to incoming requests for support in a timely manner, providing a professional customer interface.
b. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
3. Continuous Improvement
a. Develop skills to explain how Graham equipment works and how to troubleshoot.
b. Work in a team environment with operations, estimators, designers, drafters, and / or sales representatives.
4. Equipment & process maintenance
a. Travel to customer sites for field inspection, troubleshooting orerepair as appropriate. Perform detailed diagnostic performance surveys in the field and prepare detailed field reports.
b. Identify customer needs and communicate to other departments as needed.
5. Professional Development
a. Provide start-up assistance of new equipment and train operating personnel in its use.
b. Present training materials to customer audiences
Qualifications :
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.

1. Must have proficiency in MS office applications including spreadsheet, enterprise resource planning, database, and specialized application software.
