Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Bulk Loader / Packer is to accurately load the trailers. They are also responsible for making sure each trailer is in food grade condition, that all seals are intact when the trailer comes back to the plant and pulling each load correctly. Sample and run the NIR on each trailer loaded and compare their results to the posted specifications sheets for each customer. They may also be responsible for the packaging, storage and loading of finished goods, as well as the assurance that all incoming products have the correct documentation and that all packaged products meet required specifications/all products shipped are correctly. The Bulk Loader / Packer ensures that the containers loaded meet requirements for shipping and that all seals and documentation are correct. This position is responsible for the sanitation of the warehouse, and pack tower. As well as the preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs that are in line with your training and capabilities of the packaging equipment, performing all duties in a safe manner while observing good manufacturing practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

· Accurately load all trailers leaving the facility

· Ensure each trailer is clean and in a food grade condition, all seals are intact

· All Load-Out personnel are required to work with the computer system. Being able to resolve customer complaints and trucking problems is required.

· Load Out Personnel must work with other employees and employees with the trucking company with minimal direction from their supervisor.

· Responsible for the packaging, storage and loading of finished goods as well as the

· Confirm that all incoming products have the correct documentation and that all packaged products meet required specifications.

· Confirm all products shipped are correctly

· Performing preventative maintenance duties around the mill/plant. Assisting maintenance personnel as needed.

· Routinely observe and make decisions to ensure the preservation of the physical facility, including all equipment, utilities, pumps, compressors, roofs, etc.

· Conduct routine maintenance on the department equipment as scheduled, and maintain the area in a clean, sanitary condition.

· Responsible for sanitation in designated areas.

· Actively maintaining a safety culture. Always thinking of personal safety and that of your team members. Serve on safety and food safety committees

· Performing different mill projects and other duties as assigned.

· Milling work hours will require all candidates to have flexible schedules and ability to work projected overtime and perform job functions in Grain Craft’s physical mill environment, in accordance with set work schedule

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

· Ability to demonstrate detailed orientation, which includes ensuring documentation is complete.

· Ability to complete routine forms, using existing form letter, and/or conduct routine oral communications

· Ability to operate equipment and ensure it stays in optimal performance specs.

· Ability to work climb ladders and work at elevated heights with proper PPE.

· Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions.

· Ability to quickly make decisions that may have immediate impact on the work unit and department.

· Ability to communicate with others effectively, and express or exchange ideas in a respectful manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

· Experience: Prefers experience in the farming, flour, or food production environment, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common written documents. Ability to effectively present information to head miller, management, and other team members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply basic math concepts.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position will require climbing on top of trailers, rail cars and at times on silos. Comfort with heights is important. They must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times every day.
