Our state-of-the-art mill in St. Ansgar, Iowa is looking to add a Project Manager to help manage capital investments in capacity expansion, safety, continuous improvement, and maintenance type projects. You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with all phases of capital projects, from conceptual development all the way through commissioning at our food manufacturing facility.
Who you'll be working with.
Reporting to the Corporate Director of Engineering, the Project Manager will serve as the point person on each project and be a liaison between plant staff, corporate engineering staff, 3rd party engineering resources, and contractors.

You build strong teams, facilitate discussions to meet company goals, and recognize people's strengths. You lead project development, provide engineering expertise, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You ensure success by managing schedules, budgets, and resources while adhering to regulations. Your focus on ergonomics, safety, and sanitation, along with fostering teamwork, drives cost savings and business growth.
- Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, managing budgets, schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Prepare and present Capital Appropriation Requests, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and other technical reports.
- Select, hire, and oversee external consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure all projects are executed with a safety-first mindset, aligning with scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Provide construction and start-up management, including supervision of project installation activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to communicate project plans and gather input.
- Maintain and update technical documentation (e.g., process flows, P&IDs), and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred. PMP and/or Milling experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of engineering principles and project management concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project. AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus.
- Management Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel: 10% travel (including international travel) may be required for training and project support activities.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
