Tour Guide

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable BRONX LOCAL Tour Guide to lead groups on engaging and informative tours in THE BRONX. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sharing local history, culture, and attractions while providing exceptional customer service. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests, ensuring their safety, and delivering accurate information in an engaging manner.

Duties

• Conduct guided tours of various locations, sharing interesting facts and stories to educate guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns from tour participants.
• Communicate effectively with diverse groups, adapting your presentation style to suit varying audience needs.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during tours by following established protocols and guidelines.
• Manage time efficiently to adhere to scheduled tour itineraries while allowing for guest interaction.
• Utilize public speaking skills to engage audiences and maintain their interest throughout the tour.
• Foster a welcoming environment that encourages guest participation and feedback.
• Assist in promoting upcoming tours and events through word-of-mouth or social media channels.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively convey information.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to cater to diverse audiences.
• Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and enhance the group experience.
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of tours while accommodating guest needs.
• Previous experience in public speaking or educational roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• A passion for history, culture, or the specific subject matter of the tours being conducted is essential.
• TOUR GUIDE LICENSE by the City of New York

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
