Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. Your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience in our establishment.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens and guest clothing.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specialized garments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist with special cleaning requests from guests or management as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Must be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods during shifts.
