Director of Inventory Management and Supply Chain
Summary
We are seeking a Director of Inventory Management and Supply Chain, where you will drive strategic initiatives to optimize inventory processes, streamline procurement, and improve operational efficiency. This role is responsible for all aspects of inventory movement, storage, and accuracy across 5 distribution centers and over 29 stores in multiple states.
Essential functions :
- Lead and inspire a team of inventory and supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance management to ensure team success.
- Train and partner with warehouse and store managers on all procedures related to receiving, transfers, fulfillments, returns, and cycle counting.
- Manage unboxed and obsolete products with suppliers and stores
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
- Maintain adequate levels of stock at each location to meet daily distribution demands.
- Optimize inventory control procedures using the company's inventory tracking system.
- Present opportunities for improvement with leadership serving as the subject matter expert relating to product movement, obsolescence, and accuracy.
