As a PCA, you will be under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN, and will be expected to assist residents with activities of daily living as needed, help with meal time/hydration, keep resident rooms and center clean and organized, and complete related tasked as assigned.

Our open shifts are as follows: Days, Evenings and Nights
PCA Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs
- Turning/repositioning the residents while in bed
- Assist residents with personal hygiene such as incontinence care, showers/baths, dressing, toileting, etc.
- Transfers (only residents requiring one-person assistance)
- Communicate professionally with residents, family members and staff. Refer residents or their families to the Nurse as needed
- Bring residents down to meals or assure they are notified of the times of meals
- Communicate immediately any changes in a resident to the Nurse/DON
- Pass out hydration and snacks at the appropriate times
- Check on residents periodically
- Make beds - occupied and unoccupied
- Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents' rights
- Maintain an orderly, confidential, and safe work environment; in addition to HIPPA guidelines
PCA Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of high school education
- Following completion of the initial eight-hour course, continued on-the-job training will include working under the direct supervision of nursing staff and in collaboration with the Certified Nursing Assistants to provide activities of daily living services
- Must have a genuine interest in geriatric work
- Continuing in-services as needed
- Must be organized and have the ability to work well with others
- Must be able to multi-task
