Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drywaller to join our team. We need qualified people to help us with renovations at our motel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. As a Drywaller, you will play a crucial role in constructing and finishing interior spaces, ensuring that all drywall installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications.
- Apply joint tape and compound to seams between drywall panels, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Sand and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other treatments.
- Perform caulking around edges and fixtures to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including painters, flooring installers, and restoration specialists, to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist in fixture installation as needed, ensuring all components are securely attached.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Provide input on construction estimating and project timelines as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with caulking, construction painting, flooring installation, airless paint spraying, tile laying, plastering, and fixture installation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
