Are you looking for a part time position that has the benefit of paying for your Graduate Degree at GCU? The Grand Canyon University Outdoor Recreation program is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position. The Graduate Assistant will work with Management to oversee the Base Camp Rental Center and Campus Garden and ensure both areas continue to exemplify the Campus Recreation mission and vision while maintaining a fun and inviting culture. The employee is required to be accepted and matriculate through a Grand Canyon University graduate program.
Occasional evening and weekend availability required.
What you will do :
- Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of all Base Camp and Campus Garden student staff. This includes development of different training pieces and oversight of meetings. Discipline and counsel as needed.
- Apply ethical organic / sustainability practices to the garden.
- Develop campus garden schedule of activities, including classes, special events, and adopt-a-plot
- Create and maintain reports including revenue, participant rosters and any other data analytics that would provide the ability for management to make data driven program decisions. Monitors and maintains current inventory, ordering supplies and inventory as needed
- Occasionally drive passenger van for various purposes.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
