Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A valid Arizona Standard Professional Mod/Severe Special Education K-12 Certificate
- A cross-categorical certificate preferred
- A current, valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- A strong understanding of curriculum and instruction in content areas
- Able to communicate effectively with students, school personnel, and parents, and an ability to work cooperatively with others
- Able to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with a variety of students, staff, and community in a multicultural and diverse socio-economic setting
- Ability to communicate with fellow staff members, parents, students, and community members
- Report incidents of child abuse, altercations, and substance abuse for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment, and adhere to the educational code of ethics and district/school policies
