This course examines how discrete mathematics can be applied to problem solving as well as mathematical reasoning and communication. Additionally, this course introduces how mathematics uses established methods to determine and validate new conclusions through the use of discrete mathematics.
What You Will Do
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Statistics OR
- Closely related field with high school or post-secondary teaching experience
- Statistics OR
- Closely related field which requires calculus or above, or statistics coursework, such as Physics and Engineering
- Candidates with a Master's degree in any discipline and 3-5 years of experience teaching high school or post-secondary applied mathematics may also be considered
- Your unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
