Topics include methods for protein, nucleic acid, and lipid isolation and characterization; enzyme assays; chromatography; electrophoresis; and representing and manipulating proteins and nucleic acids. Experiments are designed for hands-on experimentation and students acquire practical techniques currently used in biochemistry laboratories.

- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Preferred: Master’s or Doctorate in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a Biological Science with emphasis in Biochemistry
- Minimum: Master’s in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a Biological Science with emphasis in Biochemistry
