The Opportunity

As the Wewinabi Building Services Specialist you will be responsible for performing cleanliness and minor maintenance duties for the District 1 Wewinabi businesses, with a special emphasis on Grand Market.

What You Get To Do

• Aid in daily cleaning duties, requests and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Creating the optimal safe and clean environment for both associates and customers.
• Assist in coordinating tasks and schedules effectively.
• Ensure proper usage and labeling of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Adhere strictly to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.
• Assist in maintaining building cleaning and reporting mechanical equipment issues as directed.
• Maintain accountability for property and grounds cleanliness and condition during tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Uphold compliance with company service standards, policies, and procedures.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with guests and other departments.
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to handle multiple demands.
• Basic knowledge and skills in building maintenance or occupationally significant combinations of vocational education and/or on-the-job training.
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
  
  

Must Have Skills

• Ability to understand and perform deep cleaning tasks related to building components and mechanical equipment.
• Capacity to identify issues and troubleshoot problems effectively to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
• Commitment to adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulations, including those set by OSHA, to maintain a safe working environment.
  
  

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate must regularly

• Talk and hear.
• See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision.
• Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items stored in elevated or overhead racks or shelves located above refrigerated boxes, in stockrooms and other storage areas.
• Lift, push, pull and/or move objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.
• Climb a variety of ladders, up to 36 feet tall, and use aerial lift equipment.
  
  

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to

• A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
• A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
• Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
• At times may be exposed to unusual indoor and outdoor elements such as extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, chemicals, fumes, vibration, airborne particles, dirt, dust and other hazards.
