Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with wounds, injuries, or other skin conditions. This role requires expertise in wound management and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Duties:
- Assess, clean, and dress wounds using appropriate techniques and materials
- Monitor and document wound healing progress
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Utilize advanced wound care modalities such as DME, dermal fillers, and gastric lavage
- Provide specialized care in areas such as ophthalmology, senior care, assisted living, and workers' compensation cases
- Administer tube feeding when necessary
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Certification in Wound Care Nursing (WOCN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care management
- Proficiency in utilizing alimentary techniques for patient nutrition support
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law related to wound care treatment
