Maintenance Repair

Grand Design RV is currently looking for a Maintenance Repair. As a Grand Design team member in this role, you will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on functional devices and equipment, preventative maintenance, and provide groundskeeping services.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances.
• Ensure that safety standards are maintained.
• Adjust functional parts of devices, using hand tools.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other machinery parts.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective, using hand or power tools.
• Provide groundskeeping services, such as snow removal.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven field service experience
• Experience in facility maintenance
• Safety training and/or certifications preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook email)

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/walk (65% of time)
• Ability to climb (ascending or descending ladders or stairs) (20% of time)
• Ability to kneel/squat (20% of time)
• Ability to work with machinery (60% of time)
• Ability to lift or carry (up to 60 pounds)
