Technical Publications Specialist

Grand Design is currently sourcing for a Technical Publications Specialist. As a Technical Publications Specialist, you will create and/or update our Owner's Manuals and other Technical Publications to accurately reflect the product build.

If you are interested in the Technical Publications Specialist position you will:

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Create/Update/Edit Adobe InDesign files for GDRV Owner's Manuals.
• Create/Update/Edit Adobe InDesign files for supplemental instruction documents.
• Present complex information in clear, logical, and concise written English for best reader comprehensions.
• Ensure the accuracy of product and component information through research and collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Generate innovative ideas for team workflow solutions and content.
• Applied knowledge of layout, design, typography, and preparing art for press.

Education & Experience

• Must be highly proficient in Adobe CC, InDesign. (Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator are a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication including strong grammatical skills.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Technical Writing/Layout Design position or related work.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field is preferred.
• Special consideration given to candidates fluent in written French-Canadian.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and/or RV experience are a plus.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and with team members.
