Grand Fitness Partners is seeking a highly motivated and skilled AV/IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deeply customer-focused environment and are passionate about providing exceptional technical support for over 80 Planet Fitness locations across the continental US! This is a remote role with on-site requirements based in one of our markets in NJ, VA, FL or CA markets. This role will require on-site support at times.
As an AV/IT Support Technician, the candidate will be responsible for AV and IT support for all locations, including troubleshooting any reported issues to resolution or further escalation. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technology skills set, a deep customer-focus, and strong direct communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on any AV and IT current issues reported by clubs’ staff.
- Support on any project deployment and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at clubs efficiently and effectively.
- Staggered on-call schedule for location network outages.
- Work order management in accordance with current SLAs
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
- Potential for interstate travel to markets/locations.
- Focus on the continued proper function of all televisions at all locations
- Focus on the continued proper function of Wi-Fi systems at all locations
- Staggered on-call schedule with IT Specialist for outage coverage off-hours.
Successful external candidate will be required to successfully pass criminal background check in accordance with state, local and federal laws
Requirements:- Strong understanding of visual media types (Coax, HDMI, USB, Cat5/6, etc.).
- Experience troubleshooting and installation of televisions in a commercial environment.
- Familiarity with AV equipment and control systems, including:
- Televisions, video distribution systems
- Commercial audio systems, amplifiers
- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi protocols
- Strong understanding of basic IT network infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel).
- Experience mounting AV equipment (e.g., monitors, speakers).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Sense of urgency with incoming high-priority situations
- Great interpersonal skills
- GED or equivalent; college degree is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, bend, stoop and crawl as needed.
- Quarterly travel out of market as needed.
Preferred Skills
- A/V with special focus on commercial television and video distribution experience.
- Level 1 IT Network experience
- Understanding of wireless networks (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
- Familiarity with SonicWall LAN networks.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 environment.
- AV Net Pro certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
- CompTIA A certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
