Real Estate Appraiser

ABOUT THE POSITION : The Real Estate Appraiser is responsible for assisting with appraising real estate for tax purposes; to inspect new and existing properties; and to establish true and full market values by standard appraisal methods and techniques. Performs advanced administrative, office support duties to maintain county records related to property ownership, passport processing, and issuing marriage licenses.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Experience : Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience and one (1) year related experience, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Incumbents must obtain a Class 1 Assessor’s Certificate within 2 years.
Licenses, Certificates, and Registrations : Maintain a valid Driver’s License. Maintain annual certification from Department of State. Maintain Class 1 Assessor Certificate by completing twenty hours of approved classroom instruction or seminars during the term of the Certificate.
STATUS AND HOURS : Full-time, benefit eligible. Based on a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday; 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Due to the nature of this position, there might be a variation to work hours and days to support the department and County needs.
