Position Summary
The Maintenance Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, locksmithing, facility management, and construction oversight. This internship provides high school students with valuable technical skills, professional mentoring, and exposure to facility operations in an educational setting.
Schedule: 7a-2:30p Monday- Friday, June 9th through August 1st
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist maintenance staff in completing tasks related to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and facility upkeep.

Learn and practice safety procedures and proper tool usage under the supervision of skilled professionals.

Complete weekly hands-on projects, such as installing a P-trap, wiring a light switch, patching drywall, and adjusting doors.

Understand and apply key concepts in construction management, facility operations, and equipment maintenance.

Participate in weekly check-ins, reflecting on learned skills, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
Learning Objectives
