Grand Gateway Hotel next to Perkins is a full service in Rapid City, SD. We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Front Desk Receptionist responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations and reservations in the reservation system
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon arrival, assign rooms, and provide instructions on where to place towels or where to put their shoes when checking in or checking out
- Provide information about our hotel, facilities, amenities, and local area
- Answer questions about our hotel, location and services available
- Stay up-to-date with new amenities and services available at our hotel (like our complimentary breakfast or our gluten-free menu)
- Offer assistance when needed such as opening hours or providing directions to rooms after they have been locked up for the night.
- Booking travel arrangements (i.e. tickets for corporate events or flights) for clients. Notebooks, pens, etc. to write the notes needed for these tasks must be provided by the employees.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
