Position Title: Main Club Server
Reports to (Position Title): Main Club Dining Room Manager /F&B Director
Position Overview:
Greet members and guests in a friendly manner and provide professional service, while ensuring a pleasurable dining experience. Provide knowledge of the menu and beverages while being attentive to the member’s needs and requests. Set tables and serve meals to Club members and guests according to the Grand Harbor Service Training Manual and perform various other duties to furnish excellent service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reports to manager on duty to receive instructions about the menu, service stations, and to obtain checks for writing orders; familiarizes self with menu paying attention to daily food and drink specials.
- Responsible for complete familiarity with the menu and specials to include ingredients, preparation methods and cooking methods. Make recommendations when requested.
- Provide prompt, friendly, and unobtrusive service to the membership
- Complete all opening and closing side work to support the staff during operating hours.
· Maintain a neat, clean appearance as well as working environment.
- Always follow safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for fellow employees, members and guests.
- Detail each table in your section before the shift begins.
- Attend monthly service staff meetings to enhance food, service, and wine knowledge.
- Keep all server coolers organized and clean.
- Ensure that same day and next day events are completely set up for before the shift ends.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty.
- Check out with the Manager on duty at the completion of each shift.
· Maintain a professional, positive work environment always.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must understand restaurant hygiene and food safety rules.
- Must be physically able to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
- Must be able to work in hot and/or windy weather conditions for long hours.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
· Must have at least one year of experience working in a fine dining establishment
- Degree in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus.
