We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Florist to join our team. The Florist will design, create, and sell floral arrangements, bouquets, and decorations to meet our customers' needs for events, special occasions, or daily enjoyment. The ideal candidate has a passion for floral artistry, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of plant care and maintenance.
Summary:
- Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets and other decorative pieces based on customer requests or seasonal themes.
- Maintain inventory of fresh flowers, greenery, and related materials, ensuring high quality and freshness.
- Consult with customers to determine their floral needs for events such as weddings, corporate events, and other occasions.
- Provide care instructions for flowers and plants to customers.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in floral design and incorporate new techniques and materials.
- Manage the shop's daily operations, including arranging displays, taking orders, and processing payments.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the shop or workspace.
- Collaborate with event planners or clients to create custom arrangements for events.
- Handle deliveries and set up floral arrangements at events as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Florist or in a similar role in floral design.
- Strong artistic and creative skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of flower and plant care, including proper handling and storage techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
- A certificate or diploma in floral design (preferred but not required).
