What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Estimator position at Grand Industrial?
Grand Industrial is looking for a Project Manager for our Logansport Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Review documents and gain an understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget.
2. Convey all necessary information and documents to the project team. (Including Subs)
3. Meet with customer and manage all expectations and needs.
4. Meet (site-walk) with project leadership and establish and execution plan. (materials, equipment, tools,
labor, subs)
5. Set responsibilities and expectations with project team and hold them accountable.
6. Perform take-offs and order required materials before project demands.
7. Keeping budget and schedule in mind, order/ call-off equipment required for project.
8. Ensure that all materials, equipment, and manpower arrive onsite as necessary.
9. Stay in communication with project team and be available for issues requiring immediate attention.
10.Track job progress, cost, safety, and quality to ensure a positive/profitable outcome with repeat
business.
11.Identify and track change orders, communicate with customer about potential cost impacts and bill
accordingly.
12.Finish-up project scope and handle any lingering items and issues immediately.
13.Meet/Communicate with project team, and or customer to understand project wins/losses to be more
successful with future projects.In addition, a Project Manager is responsible to:
1. Turn in accurate timesheets with correct job numbers and hours worked.
2. Prepare accurate work orders, with correct job numbers, hours worked, and equipment used in a timely
manner.
3. Order materials using the correct job numbers, approve and turn in invoices in a timely manner.
4. Schedule manpower, equipment, and sub-contractors.
5. Build relationships with existing and potential customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
6. Be ultimately responsible for every decision that is made on their project. Ensure every decision is made
by a competent person.
7. Be an effective communicator and not leave team members without direction.
8. Cooperate with other project managers keeping the company’s best interest as a priority.
9. Understand and learn from issues that arise during a project.
10.Keep track of credit card receipts and turn in as required.
11.Manage the needs of his team, identify and correct area needing improvement, and discipline when
required.
12.Build a team environment for his crew, recognize/ reward positive behavior.
13.Evaluate team members and train when possible, for crew development.
14.Manage their own time effectively.
15.Identify cost saving measures.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
