What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Grand Island Casino Resort?
Position Summary:
Assist with the day to day operations, customer relations, and monthly close activities of accounts payables. Responsible for entering invoices, obtaining approval for payment, and processing AP checks.
Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial reports. Maintain account reconciliations and workpapers. Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Obtain approval for payment.
- Enter data into AP system and pay invoices.
- Report use tax by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
- Research past due balances and vendor payment issues.
- Post journal entries into the general ledger.
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Maintain account reconciliations and workpapers.
- File documents.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Required
- Aptitude for working with computer systems.
- Team work skills are a must.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
