Salary:
BA Step 1 $48,007 or MA Step 1 $50,670 per GITA contract
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required:
1. New York State Certified Teacher in Social Studies 7-12.
2. Experience teaching middle school social studies (student teaching will be considered).
3. Familiarity with the NYS K-12 Social Studies Framework
4. Ability to provide differentiated instruction to students at all levels.
5. Ability to use data driven instruction to improve student achievement.
6. Strong work ethic; ability to collaborate with team/school
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment in the classroom setting.
9. Evidence of positive classroom management skills.
10. Strong use of technology to support professional responsibilities; ability to integrate
technology into instruction.
