Position: Control Room Operator

Schedule: 7/7 Rotating Schedule (2 week day shift/2 week night shift)

Location: Midland, Texas

The Control Room Operator is responsible for the monitoring and operation of equipment and systems in the control room by responding to alarms and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and to coordinate and ensure that all control room activities run in a smooth and efficient environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the operation of equipment and systems in the control room
• Operate and adjust various controls and switches to regulate the flow of materials or substances
• Monitor gauges, meters, and other indicators to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Record operational data and maintain accurate logs of activities
• Read SOP’s and troubleshoot/dispatch field emergency shut downs and high priority detail
• Respond to alarms and take appropriate actions to resolve issues or escalate as necessary
• Communicate with other operators and team members to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operation
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Required Reporting as needed

Work Schedule:

• /7 Rotating Shift - Must be able to work 2 week day shift and rotate to 2 week night shift on continuous basis. Must be able to work 6 am – 7 pm (days) and rotate to 7 pm – 6 am shift every two weeks, including holidays

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1-3 yrs previous experience as a Control Room Operator or in a similar role is preferred
• Previous Oil & Gas Operations knowledge highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong computer/software skillsets with Intermediate skillsets in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Candidate must reside within a 50 mile radius of Midland, Texas
• Must be able to pass all onboarding requirements including background check, drug screening, MVR requirements
